Dylan Siebert, Field Leader

Dylan Siebert Dylan grew up roaming the wooded ravines of Vineland, Ontario. As a child, summers at Silver Lake Mennonite Camp taught him a deep appreciation for the forest, and he later joined the camp staff as a canoe trip leader, counsellor, and nature program leader. Since finishing his work at Silver Lake he has trained with The PINE Project in Toronto and Sticks and Stones Wilderness School near Kimberley. He has worked alongside children and adults with disabilities through Extend-a-Family Waterloo Region and Special Olympics Ontario, respectively. Dylan has a degree in Medieval Studies from the University of Waterloo.

Sarah Penner, Field Leader

Sarah PennerSarah Penner is born and bred in Waterloo Region. Her passion for nature and exploration led her to a degree in Environmental Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University. Sarah spent 5 years as counsellor and nature program leader at Silver Lake Mennonite Camp. Her experience in Outdoor Education includes, most recently, employment at Laurel Creek Conservation Area. In her free time Sarah enjoys going for jogs and playing tennis with friends.
